Synopsis: As children of the loving and wealthy Ekdahl family, Fanny and Alexander enjoy an idyllic life with their parents, who run a theater company. But after their father unexpectedly dies, their life is turned upside down when their mother, Emilie, remarries a stern bishop whose joyless household becomes their prison.
